On the afternoon of November 19, Gong Jianwen and his party and five members held a special inspection meeting for breakthroughs in industrial transformation and upgrading in Yangjiang City and listened to relevant reports from Yangjiang City. According to the Work Plan for the Breakthrough Point of Industrial Transformation and Upgrading of the Province, Yangjiang combines the two traditional industries of hardware knife and scissors and deep processing of aquatic products as the breakthrough point for industrial transformation and upgrading. Since the beginning of this year, the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries in Yangjiang have achieved good results. In the first three quarters, the hardware and scissors industry achieved 17.02 billion yuan in industrial output value, which was a year-on-year increase of 23%. The total industrial output value accounted for 30% of the city's total industrial output value; The deep processing industry achieved a total industrial output value of 9.08 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 32.5%.

The inspection team of Guangdong Province fully affirmed the industrial transformation and upgrading of Yangjiang City. In particular, the first three quarters saw remarkable results in the transformation and upgrading of hardware, scissors, and deep processing of aquatic products. The provincial inspection team recommended that Yangjiang improve the service system of R&D, testing, design, and financial credit, strive for national and provincial scientific and technological forces to support key technology research, and further promote the transformation and upgrading of these two industries through new business models such as e-commerce. .
